Adobe Products for Faculty/Staff
Faculty and staff can purchase Adobe Products for University business via KFS. There are two options: Adobe Express Premium and Adobe Creative Cloud (user and device license options). Adobe Express is intended for users who need basic PDF editing or multimedia functions (similar to Canva). Adobe Creative Cloud is intended for users who need access to the full design suite of Adobe Products (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat Pro for advanced PDF editing and signing. Faculty and staff can also purchase licenses for other users, including student employees or graduate assistants who need it to conduct university business. They must have NetIDwork accounts.
Adobe Device Licenses only include access to Adobe desktop apps, not Adobe Services such as Firefly. To use Adobe Firefly generative AI features and other Adobe Services, contact your IT admin and request a named user license or an Adobe Express license.

The University license expires annually on 9/14*. Prorated pricing is available for Adobe CC between 6/14-9/13. An existing license can be renewed between 8/1-9/13, or it will be disabled on 9/14*. Each license is transferrable to another user when the original user leaves the University.
Adobe Express Premium licenses expire on 9/15/25.
*When 9/14 falls on a weekend, the license expires on the next business day.
Adobe Express
Licenses are purchased via KFS and renewed each year. These are user-based licenses and issued to UConn or UCHC emails.
Adobe Express Feature:
- Basic PDF editing, merging and combining
- No support for accessibility features
- No signing feature
- Basic multimedia creation and editing
- Flyers, Pamphlets, Newsletters
- Similar to Canva.

Adobe Creative Cloud User License
Users who need access to the full Creative Cloud Suite can purchase a license via ITS. Licenses are purchased via KFS and renewed each year. These are user-based licenses and issued to UConn or UCHC emails. Adobe Creative Cloud can be installed on up to two devices but can only be used on one device at a time.

Adobe Creative Cloud Device License
Adobe Creative Cloud Device licenses provide licenses for shared machines where multiple users will need access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Recommended uses include computer labs or shared student workstations. Licenses can be purchased via KFS and must be renewed each year. Only University Owned and Managed Devices are eligible for Adobe Device Licenses. The device must be enrolled in central management to receive the deployment.
