3270 Emulators

Eligibility
This package is available only to UConn faculty, students, and staff! If you are not connecting from the 137.99 (uconn.edu) domain, you will not be able to download the software. Those using a different internet service provider (ISP), can call the University ITS Help Desk at 860-486-4357 for assistance.

Special Needs
The distribution pages contain detailed instructions on downloading and installing 3270 emulation programs for Windows and Macintosh platforms. They contain many images and therefore may take a while to load on low-speed connections.
Other Information
Hummingbird Host Explorer Update: Users with Host Explorer version 9.0.0.0 may experience problems with cut/paste, (on a mod 4 or mod 5 screen size) and when utilizing the File Transfer utility. These problems can be resolved by updating Host x using the Hummingbird Update feature. To launch Hummingbird Update, navigate to your Hummingbird Connectivity Product folder. In the Windows start menu open Programs -> Hummingbird Connectivity v9.0 -> Administrative Tools and select Hummingbird Update. Then select Hummingbird Host 9.0.0.5 and click "Check for Update". This will require the PC to be restarted and it will also show as being version 9.0.0.4
