Overview

Current Version: 5.2
A finite-element based program for simulating unlimited multiphysics and single-physics applications. It incorporates easy to use application interfaces, complete control over meshing, and powerful solvers. COMSOL Multiphysics 5.2 represents a significant expansion of the software’s applications, features, and functionality. Version 5.2 empowers current users to do more with their simulation environments, while new industries will now be able to leverage the innovation of multiphysics simulation. With this release, COMSOL continues to deliver on its promise to supply the science and engineering markets with the state-of-the-art simulation products for an expanding set of applications.

Eligibility

Classroom license is available for computer labs. Faculty and graduate students can also use academic license. The software can only be installed on University owned machines. Includes all UConn campuses; main campus, UCHC, etc.

Distribution

Distribution

Only one IT person, from each department can apply to get the software for all users within that department. The software can be obtained from the University ITS Business Office located in North Campus, Math Science Building (MSB), ground floor, room 047. Send screen capture of any problems to George@engr.uconn.edu

Upgrade

The new COMSOL servers will accept licenses from: COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS 5.1

Technical Support

Technical support is available to all at the COMSOL website. COMSOL Training Comsol holds a variety of training courses across the country, the locations and times of the courses can be found here.
